About Us
Dragonfly Aerial Studio, founded by Allison Scaramuzzo, a Monmouth County local for 35 years, offers a unique blend of aerial arts and dance technique. With a background in dance, a B.A. in Psychology, and certification as a NJ School Teacher, Allison established her studio in Freehold, New Jersey. The studio provides aerial dance classes, emphasizing not only aerial techniques for children but also conditioning, strength training, and dance methods. Students are taught to integrate dance into their aerial routines, crafting the exquisite art of aerial dance. Our mission is to share this movement style to inspire joy, build confidence, foster perseverance & ignite creativity, and passion into our students' lives, thereby enhancing their overall well-being and agility for all life's pursuits.
Allison Scaramuzzo - Bio
Allison owns and operates Dragonfly Aerial Studios. She holds a New Jersey certification in Elementary Education and a degree in Psychology. A dancer from a young age, she graduated from Howell High School's performing arts program specializing in Dance. Additionally, she is an E-RYT 200 hour Yoga Alliance certified instructor, boasting over 2,000 hours of teaching experience. With 20 years of practice in dance and yoga, and over a decade teaching Aerial silk hammock, she advocates that movement maintains our kinesthetic connection and that Aerial allows the freedom and creativity we desire coupled with dance technique, enabling artistic expression for the soul.
